The Becoming Hungarian website and preparation app (the “Service”) acts as the data controller for your personal data. For any privacy question or request, contact us at: [contact email address].

• Account data: your name and email address when you register or log in.
• Preparation data: the personal details provided for interview preparation (for example name, place and date of birth, family details, occupation), uploaded by you or by your teacher.
• Practice data: the answers you type or speak, and the related grammar feedback.
• Technical data: login details, device and usage data.

• Providing the Service and the personalized practice — legal basis: performance of a contract.
• Processing the data you voluntarily provide during practice — legal basis: your consent.
• Security, troubleshooting and improvement of the Service — legal basis: legitimate interest.

Your personal practice and personal data can be accessed only by you and by the teacher who prepares you (the data controller). No other client can see your data.

The hosting and platform provider (Base44) and the artificial-intelligence service that produces the grammar feedback act as data processors. They use the data solely to provide the Service.

We keep the data for as long as you have an account and for as long as your preparation lasts. On your request the data is deleted, and the account ends with it.

Data is stored in a secure, access-protected system. Access is governed by permissions: each person can reach only their own data.

You have the right to:

• request information about, and access to, the data we process;
• request rectification of the data;
• request erasure of the data;
• request restriction of processing;
• object to the processing;
• request data portability;
• lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH, naih.hu).

You can raise a request at the contact address above; we reply within 30 days at the latest.

The Service uses cookies and browser storage necessary for its operation (for example to keep you logged in). We do not use marketing or tracking cookies.

The Service is not intended for persons under 16. If we become aware of such data, we delete it without delay.
